The new Mauri language

A dream that becomes ever more true. A project that started almost for fun about a year ago now includes even a newsletter. It seems only yesterday when I decided – together with a few friends and respected experts – to start talking about Wellness Cucina and we created the first Italian community devoted entirely to this new approach to life.

I wasn’t particularly convinced about the idea of sending out a newsletter. Apart from anything else, I didn’t want to fill our recipients’ e-mails with even more content. But after seeing the success of our site/e-zine in terms of contacts and visits, I decided it could be a good thing to stimulate the interest of people who already follow us, and those who haven’t started yet, through information sent by e-mail.

www.wellnesscucina.com is an e-zine and, principally, a community, which has involved the work not only of several people in our editorial offices, but also many who chose quite independently to be a part of the project and devote their time and expertise for the good of others.

This has been an extremely important experience for me because, like many of you, I am tied up at work throughout the day without time to spare for the things I care about. Thanks to this e-zine and above all to Wellness Cucina, it’s once again a pleasure for me to return home; I’ve learned how to enjoy meal preparation as a moment of relaxation and family togetherness, not just as part of my duties as a wife.

Wellness Cucina was a need that sprang from my heart and especially from my many happy memories of when I was a little girl and the times when the family would gather to share the pleasure of having lunch or dinner together. The thing that attracted us all was the kitchen and, in particular, cooking. An unforgettable magic moment: a memory which often helps me to find joy and serenity, even today.

But times change and families change, too. Far more people live on their own nowadays and many young adults move away from home. It’s a fact that must be accepted and turned into a stimulus for wellbeing. I think it’s quite wrong to live in the past. That is why I’m so pleased to promote and cultivate a new way of living in harmony and health in our own kitchen from day to day: it’s undoubtedly a very different way from the one we remember, but it’s certainly more in line with our times.

This gave me the idea of focusing more intensely on this new way of thinking and living, in other words the pleasure of creating in the kitchen of our home, wherever it may be, a chance for us to recharge our batteries and experience the pleasure of feeling good whether we’re on our own or in company.

This is Wellness Cucina and this is the philosophy we want to sustain and pursue with you in a dynamic, constructive exchange of ideas.
